This painting was requested by someone who wanted to remember the experience of doing an archeological dig - they were interested in connecting the idea of bones and bodies of the people who had lived on the land before, of civilizations covered by time. Worked with the client to determine composition and ensure a beautiful oil painting was created in the style of the artist with the vision the client desired.
This commission was created for my family remembering my grandfather at his best.
