I love the colors! #1

Here we have an exploration of the festival of Holi by Moonspade Magic. On this holiday, anyone can play with brightly coloured powder and mark anyone else with it, regardless of social class. This is something that we love the idea of and is the reason that we were doing some research and making art about Holi. In the sense that there is a long and complicated story that has little connection to the reasons why the holiday is celebrated, all of the traditions are fascinating and baffling this way - these are the most interesting things in the world to us. The fact that at Christmas time Indian people would say why is there a tree in your house is similar to me saying ok why did Holika burn - at some point we just do things and do not know exactly why - this doesn’t mean we should not carry out ancient traditions if they bring us joy.

One thing we love about these major festivals here is that they are inclusive, they are inspiring to us. That is why we made this art ! We hope you love it and enjoy a beautiful spring season and Happy Holi time !
