This painting is about my heart, when it feels broken. The idea of this painting is that the snakes are living there because it is a hospitable environment for them, that is their nest and space for healing is taken up. Energy is spent feeding them. The emotion of that is in a betrayal of the warmth, as they are unable to produce any themselves which makes the host feel more hurt than anything else.
