Robin Moth with Robin Eggs

 

This fancy moth has incredibly designed wings, in bright reds, deep browns and sharply contrasting black and white. This is a creature I decided to paint after my friend showed me a picture of the same kind of moth that she had seen in the wild. I included distinctively coloured robin’s eggs in the picture, because the moth and the bird have the same name. Acrylic on Canvas Size: 25 x 20 cm, 8 x 10 inches Depth: 1 cm , ½ inch approx
