Trees Remember
C$30.00Price
This is a painting of some very old trees in one of the oldest cemeteries in Toronto, Mount Pleasant. I was trying to capture how they look in the summer first thing in the morning, because there is often this mist that rises from the ground like in a forest. I love the texture of this and how it becomes a way to see time, by how thick the tree is and know that this is not common now in cities but if we (humans) were not here this would be the norm. In a way it is an imagined future without us, or a time much before. These are the thoughts I had when I created this work.
